Harry M. Arkland, 76,
husband of Laura Chambers
Arkland, 193 E. Eight St.
Oswego, died at the Oswego
Hospital shortly after admittance
recently.
He was born in Piercefield,
son of the late Charles
and Emma Downs Arkland
and has resided in Oswego
the last 45 years.
Mr. Arkland came to Os
wego as a paper maker with
the B.P. Taggart Corporation
and had been employed
by their successors, the St.
Regis Paper Co., and American
Can Corp., retiring
in 1960.
He was a communicant
of St. Peter's Catholic
Church, a member of its
Holy Name Society and
Knights of Columbus Council

Surviving besides his wife
are a daughter. Mrs. James
(Kathryn) Turner of Oswego
two sisters Mrs. Grant
(Mattie) Miller of San Francisco,
Calif., and Mrs. Ruth
Patterson of Los Angeles,
Calif, a brother, Leonard
Arkland o£, White Plains,
three grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
