NEWFANE - Mrs. Mary
Gaskill, 78, of 6119 Ketchum
Ave., died today (Nov. 13, 1968)
in Inter-Community Memorial
Hospital here after a long
illness.
Born in the Town of Somerset
Nov. 19, 1889, she was the
daughter of Stephen and
Henrietta Atwater.
She had been a school teacher
in the area before her marriage
to Harold Gaskill. She was a
member of Newfane United
Methodist Church and the
Woman's Society of Christian
Service and Faith Circle at the
church.
Survivors include, in addition
to her husband: five daughters,
Mrs. George (Mary) Ochs,
Stewart, Fla., Miss Margaret
Gaskill, Houston, Tex.. Mrs.
Clarence (Dorothy) Linderman,
Medina, Mrs. Willard (Lucia)
Kropp, Bart, and Mrs. Melvin
(Jean) Goetre, Newfane; three
sons, Raymond G. Gaskill,
Newfane, Richard G a s k i l l,
Akron, N.Y., and Lawrence
Gaskill. Lockport; two brothers,
Henry Atwater, West Somerset,
and George Atwater, Barker;
15 grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren
and s e v e r al
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Kenneth
H. Sherrie Funeral Home
starting at 2 p.m. Thursday.
Services will be held at 1:30
p.m. Friday at the funeral
home, the Rev. Neil Arnold Officiating
Burial will be in
Hartland Central Cemetery.
The family said contributions
to Newfane United Methodist
Church Memorial Fund will be
acceptable as tributes.
