- Michael H. Augustino, 90, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Hancock, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Joseph and Violet (Coleman) Augustino; and the beloved husband of Jean A. (Kalista) Augustino.
Michael graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and attended Fork Union Military Academy where he was a standout on the Varsity Football team. He later obtained his Associate’s degree from the University in Buffalo in Commercial Art.
Michael began his extensive art and printing career with Moore Business Forms at locations in Niagara Falls and New York City for over 11 years as a Forms Analyst. He also worked as a free-lance Forms Commercial Artist in New York City for several years. Upon moving back to Western New York, Michael owned and operated Press 3 Inc. in Buffalo, NY for 31 years until his retirement. In addition to his printing company, he also owned rental property throughout the area.
Michael was a longtime member of the Buffalo Lions Club, Buffalo Rotary Club and Buffalo Kiwanis Club. He was also a dedicated member of the Printing House Craftsman’s Club of Buffalo and loved coaching youth football and softball. Aside from being a talented Artist, Michael was also very mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering with just about anything. He had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, Jean, Mr. Augustino is survived by his children, Dr. Michael (Dana) Augustino, Cheryl (Joseph) Furlong, Joseph (Jennifer) Augustino, Kalista (James) Cozza, Kathryn (Michael) Edwards and was sadly predeceased by his daughter, Laurel (Marc) Czerwinski. Mr. Augustino is also survived by 21 beloved grandchildren and 13 cherished great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Joyce (late Ralph) Mauro and Linda (Tim) Rafferty.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13 from 9:30 – 11:15 AM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 11:15 AM, followed by Michael’s Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon in St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY.
