Dominic A. Augustino, 59,
of 824 Lincoln Place, died
Saturday (Sept. 4, 1971) at
Mount St. Mary's Hospital
after a short illness.
Born in Ogdertsburg, N.Y..
Mr. Augustino attended local
schools prior to his graduation
from Trott Vocational High
School. He worked the past
nine years at Carborundum
Co. He previously worked for
20 years as a warehouse
manager for Levy Brothers.
A former player with the
Ranger and Cataract semi-pro
football teams, Mr. Augustino
also was an avid lawn bowler
in industrial and city leagues.
He was a member of the
Knights of Columbus Niagara
Council 247 and the Carborundum
A t h l e t i c Association.
Survivors include his wife,
Ellen ( N e l l i e ) Callen
Augustino; a daughter, Mrs.
Gerald (Grace) Kovaleski,
Niagara Falls; a son, Robert
Dominic Augustino, Niagara
Falls; three brothers, Joseph,
S a m u e l , and A n g e lo
Augustino, all of Niagara
Falls; a sister, Mrs. William
Hamilton, Niagara F a l l s;
three grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be
held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. at
the Zajac Funeral Home, and
at 9:15 a.m. at Sacred Heart
Church. Burial will be at Gate
of Heaven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the
funeral home today and
Monday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.
The Knights of Columbus
will meet at the funeral home
Monday at 8 p.m. for the
recitation of the rosary,
