- Constance J. Molak, 86, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on April 4, 2022 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Serafino and Rose (Peri) Manuse.
Connie grew up on 20th Street in the Old Italian Neighborhood, where she was raised by her parents and grandmother Jessie Peri. Connie was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School, and later graduated from Buffalo State with a Bachelor Degree in Art Education. On August 2, 1958, she married Eugene E. Molak at St. Joseph Church. Connie was employed as a Display and Communications Manager with the Niagara Falls Public Library for 20 years.
A skilled artist, Connie made many oil paintings and wooden dolls. She was a member of the Western New York Doll Club. She also enjoyed cooking, walking the Gorge daily, and was a devoted Catholic, regularly attending Mass. Connie had many friends in all walks of life and her friends remarked about her abundance of kindness. She remained a guiding light for her family throughout her whole life. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, Constance is survived by her children, Christopher J. (Jennifer) Molak, Cynthia L. (Frank) Mercadante, Jessica M. Tower, and Steven S. (Christina) Molak; her grandchildren, Jessie (Eric) Sexton, Frankie Mercadante, Katelyn (Jessie) Burton, Alexandra (Tyler) Fernandez, James Tower, Melanie Mercadante, Thomas Tower, Gabriella Molak, and Olivia Molak; her great-grandchildren, Piper Rose Burton and Charles David Fernandez; her brothers, Gary (Melanie) Manuse and James (Nancy) Manuse, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Eugene C. Molak, and her sister, Gloria (late Michael) Augustino.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6, from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304. Constance’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at St. Raphael Church, 3840 Macklem Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305. Entombment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
