native of Tonawanda, she had
been a resident of Holly Hill,
Fla., for the past 10 years. She
had been employed at First
Atlantic Bank for seven years
and was a member of the Business
and Professional Women's
Association, both of Daytona
Beach, Fla.
She is survived by a daughter,
Mrs. Gary (Frances) Blackwell
of Tonawanda; five
s i s t e r s : Mrs. Clifford (Dorothy)
Hankinson of Abingdon,
Va., Mrs. George (Rena) Freck
of Grand Island, Mrs. Robert
(Eleanor) Brown and Mrs.
Maynard (Ilene) Awaldt, both
of Tonawanda, and Mrs. Ernest
(Gwen) Eickler of North Tonawanda;
four brothers: Lloyd of
California, Norman of
Kenmore, Maynard of Erie,
Pa., and Dale Thiel of Camden,
S.C., and two grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday
only from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the
John O. Roth Funeral Home,
Morgan and William Streets,
Tonawanda, where services
will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday by the Rev. Canon Alexander
Corti. Burial will be in
Mt. Pleasant Cemetery,
Shelby, N.Y. Flowers gratefully
declined by the family. If
desired, memorials may be
made to the American Cancer
Society.
