  Carmella A. (Baccelli) Forgione, 90, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on December 7, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Deramo) Baccelli.  Carmella was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1945. On May 4, 1957 she married Frank A. Forgione at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. Her beloved husband Frank predeceased her on December 30, 2013.  Carmella began her working career in the personnel department at the former Kimberly Clark Corp.  She went on to work at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, as a merchandiser at Spar Marketing, and substitute teacher’s aide at Lewiston-Porter School. Carmella was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Niagara Falls, as well as a member of their Ladies of Charity Society. She enjoyed traveling, reading, discussing politics and current events, and attending theatre productions.  Most of all, Carmella enjoyed being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  Mrs. Forgione is survived by her three daughters, Mary (Peter) Vogt, Nancy (Paul Bercow) Forgione and Lisanne Forgione, and one grandson, Christopher (Sandra) Vogt.  She was predeceased by one sister, Emily (late Henry) Babut, and is survived by her family, William (Sheri) Babut and Robert Babut.  She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Anthony (Lois) Forgione, sisters-in-law, Mary Maellaro and Anita (late Anthony) Tavano, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday December 11th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Mrs. Forgione’s family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence and Niagara Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
