  July 31, 2014 William J. "Bill" Smith, Jr. Niagara Gazette NIAGARA FALLS - William J. "Bill" Smith, Jr., 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, husband of the late Dawn Smith, died, unexpectedly, on Thursday, July 31, 2014 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. For many years, he was employed as a cab driver for LaSalle Cab. Mr. Smith is survived by three siblings, George (Bonnie) Smith of Arizona, Mary "Christine" (James) Reinard of Sanborn, NY and Kathleen (Don) Gill of Lockport, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William J. and Frances (Cassidy) Smith, Sr.; wife, Dawn; and sister, Nancy Vanich. There will be no prior visitation. A private funeral service will be held.
