ALSO North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 5/22/1953 BACON - Mrs. Josephine Catherine Bacon. 80, of 294 Broad St., Tonawanda died Thursday, May 21, 1953. in Columbus Hospital, Buf falo. after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Tonawanda and a member of St. Francis Church, the Altar and Rosary Societies of the church and the Ladies of Charity. She was the widow of the late George W. Bacon. She is survived by a daughter, Miss Josephine C. Bacon; two sons, William G. Sr. and George A. Sr.; 8 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren, all of Tonawanda. Friends may call at the residence of the son, George A. Bacon Sr., 96 Scott St., Tonawanda, where ser- vices will be Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock and at 11 o'clock in St. Francis Church. A requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Francis Trapp. Burial in Mt. Oliver Cemetery.
