Bacon, 56, of Tonawanda,
unexpectedly Monday
(August 8, 1983) at DeGraff
Memorial Hospital A
native of Tonawanda, he
was the son of the late
William G and Mary E
Bacon and had been
employed at Columbus
McKinnon Corp. for more
than 30 years. A Navy
veteran of World War II,
he was a member of St
Francis of Assisi Church, a
30 year member and treasurer
of the National Hose
Co., a member of the
Tonawanda Exempt Volunteer
Firemen's Assoc,
AmVets Niagara Frontier
Post 26 and the Stardust
Lounge Foamblowers.
He is survived by his
wife, Dorothy A. (nee
Kreger) Bacon; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Ronald
(Barbara) Herrman of
Niagara Falls, N.Y., six
sons, Robert J (Jean)
Bacon, Jr. of Lockport,
Michael J. (Gretchen)
Bacon, Thomas C.
(Kathleen) Bacon, Daniel
P. (Shelly) Bacon and Paul
A. Bacon, all of Tonawan-
da and William C. (Leslie)
Bacon of North Tonawan-
da; his step-mother, Mrs.
Mildred Bacon of the Town
of Tonawanda; a sister,
Mrs. Robert (Marie)
Giuseppetti of North Ton-
awanda; a brother,
William G. (Katherine)
Bacon Sr. of the Town of
Tonawanda; six grand-
children and many nieces
and nephews.
Friends may call Friday
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m., at
John 0 Roth Funeral
Home, Inc., Morgan and
William Sts., Tonawanda
where services will be
conducted Thursday at 9
a.m., followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial at St.
Francis of Assisi Church at
9 30, the Rev. Msgr. Ralph
M. Miller will officiate.
Burial wil be in Mount
Olivet Cemetery
