Born on May 25, 1965 in Lockport, he was the son of Patricia (Rooney) Boye of Lockport and the late Victor W. Boye, who passed away in 1978. He was a graduate of Lockport High School and also SUNY Fredonia. Richard worked for Michael's in Amherst. Besides his mother, he is also survived by several sisters; nephew of Doralyn B.
