- Barbara Farwell-Kolipinski Obituary
Barbara Farwell-Kolipinski (nee Baldwin), of Wilson, NY, age 94, widow of Eugene J.
Kolipinski and Harold E. Farwell passed away on July 4, 2024 at home after a long
battle with kidney disease. She was born in Newfane, NY, on June 14, 1930, the
daughter of the late Leon R. & Dorothy Kreeger Baldwin.
Barbara devoted herself to her family and community for many years. She was a past
member of Exley Methodist Church and St. John’s Episcopal Church in Wilson. Cub
Scout Den Leader & Coach; Girl Scout Leader; the First President of the Thomas Marks
Elementary School PTA; Leader of Crafts for the Summer Recreation Program in Wilson
for over 20 years; a 50 Year Member of The Order of The Eastern Star; Past District
Deputy Grand Matron from Wilson Chapter #286 in 1981. She was a former employee
of Harrison Radiator in Lockport, NY. Retired from Wilson Central School District after
17 years of service. Barbara was an avid gardener and crafter and loved spending time
with her family and friends.
Mother of Jeffrey Farwell, Joel (Paula) Farwell, Jennifer (James) Farwell-Puskas all of
Wilson, NY. Grandmother to Victoria Farwell, Nathan (Kate Tesla) Farwell, Samantha
(Brandon) Stroyan, Kyle (Tomi Jackman) Doty. Step-Grandmother to Daniel (Andrea
Baron) Puskas. Great-Grandmother to Lincoln John Doty. She was predeceased by
sisters Shirley Cushman, Beverly Baldwin and brothers Leon Baldwin, Jr. and Paul
Baldwin.
No prior visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 11:00
a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 431 Lake Street, Wilson, NY. Barbara has
requested that memorials be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church or Niagara Hospice
and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
