SMITH - Funeral services for
Myrtle Smith of Newfane were
held Friday Nov. 22, 1968 from
the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral
Home, Newfane. The Rev.
James S. Wilson of Newfane officiated.
Bearers were Donald
Burrows, Kenneth Burrows, Robert
Mael Jr.. Douglas Mael,
Ronald Mael and William Mael.
Interment was in Greenwood
Cemetery, Wilson, N.Y.

NEWFANE; - Mrs. Mrytie,
Smith, 85, a lifelong area resi-
tent, died Tuesday (Nov. 19,
1968) in the O'Stewart Nursing
Home, Gasport where she had
been a patient for the last year.
For four years prior to that,
she had been at the Mesler
Nursing Home, also in Gasport;
She was born Sept. 9, 1883,
in Newfane, the daughter of
Washington and Nettie Baldwin.
She was the widow of Albert
J. Smith, who died in 1955.
Mrs. Smith had been a prac-
tical nurse, having been
employed for six years at the
Odd Fellows Home, Lake Ave-
nue, Lockport, and for two
years at Mount View Hospital
Lockport.
Survivors i n c l u d e -two.
daughters, Mrs. Robert (Flor-
ence) Mael Sr., Newfane, and Mrs.
Albert (Mabel) Burrows,
Burt; nine grandchildren and 15
great-grandchildren.
