Memorial Hospital after
a brief illness.
A life-long resident of
the Tonawandas, Mrs.
Carney was the wife of
the late Spencer P.
Carney and was a
member of St. Francis of
Assisi Parish and the
Ladies of Charity Society
at the church.
Mrsj' Carney is survived
by two daughters,
Mrs. Floyd (Alta)
Meyers of Garden Grove,
Calif.v and Mrs. Roger
(Frances) Hayes of
Williamsville, and two
sons, James (Margaret)
C a r n e y of North
Tonawanda and Jack
( S a r a h ) Carney of
Tonawanda. Also surviving
are 16 grandchildren,
5 brothers, 3
sisters and many nieces
and nephews.
The family will be
present from 7-9 p.m.
Saturday and from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at
the Hamp Funeral Home
Inc., Adam and Seymour
S t r e e t s , Tonawanda,
where prayers will be
said at 9 a.m. Monday,
followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. in St. Francis of
Assisi Church. The Rt.
Rev. Msgr. Ralph M.
Miller will officiate.
Flowers are gratefully
