Strassburg (nee Nicholson), age 64, of North Tonawanda, NY and Cleveland, TN, April 28, 2014, following a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Melanie graduated from North Tonawanda High School 1968, Niagara Community College 1970, University at Buffalo in 1973. She enjoyed golf, softball, line dancing and ballroom dancing. She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Cleveland, TN. She was the daughter of the late Weston and Marjorie (Neale) Nicholson. Beloved wife of James Strassburg. Dear mother of Jaime (Michael) Davidson and Erin Strassburg. Grandmother of Nora May Davidson, Kurt Michael Davidson. Sister of Chris (Duane) Townsend; sister-in-law of Janice (Paul) Kolbe, Lynne Tavano, Sue (Leon) Szczerbinski. Aunt of Amanda Townsend, Kevin Townsend, Mark (Rachelle) Kolbe, Jennifer (Jamie) Elmer, Thomas Zalewski, Rebecca Zalewski, Ann (Owen) DiVico, Sara (Steve) Hannon, John Szczerbinski.
