- Esther Ponterio a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, New York passed away suddenly August 28, 2016. She is survived by her niece Roberta (nee Banks) (Phillip D.) Slaiman of Hilliard, OH and their children Sarah Slaiman Chebli (Muhammad) of Monmouth Junction, NJ. Rachel Slaiman (fiancé John Payumo) of Bayonne, NJ and Laura Slaiman of Queens, NY. Dear aunt Michael (Mary) Ponterio and Ann Ponterio. Great aunt of Salma and Ahmad Chebli. Also survived by many friends and aquantainces near and far. A life- long shopper she was one to truly find the good buys. Esther was predeceased by her parents Michael and Julia Ponterio. Her brother John (Jack) Ponterio sisters Mary, Carmella and Edith Ponterio Banks . And her brother in law Robert E. Banks. Friends are welcome a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda. Arrangements by the Brunner Funeral Home.
