The marriage of Miss Phyllis A.
Day, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claris
Day of Oasport and Thomas R
Banta of Newfane was solemnized
Saturday at 7:30 at the home of
the bride's parents. The Rev. Eric
Brandt of Webster performed the
double ring ceremony.
The service was performed before
the fireplace banked with baskets of
blue delphinium, white lilies and
white hydrangeas, lighted by tall
white tapers.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a white satin gown
fashioned with sweetheart neckline
outlined with duchess lace and long,
pointed sleeves. Her fingertip veil
was edged in matching lace and she
carried an arm bouquet of white
gladiolus tied with wide white satin
ribbon.
Her sister. Miss Joyce E. Day. was
maid of honor and wore blue marquisette
and matching veil. She carried
white delphiniums tied with
blue satin ribbon.
John Banta, brother of thr groom,.,
was best man and Robert Day was
usher.
The bride's mother wore a dove
gray costume with a corsage of
white carnations and red roses.
Miss Jessie Hammond of Lockport
played harp selections during the
ceremony. A reception followed for
the immediate families, after which
the couple left for Montreal and
Quebec for a two-week trip, the
bride wearing a cream ensemble
with luggage tan accessories and a
corsage of talisman roses.

given by Mrs. Charles Boughton,
The Alps, N. Y., and by Mrs.
Robert Baker, Averill Park, N. Y.,
and a personal and linen shower by
the Priends' Church of Oasport
