  Notes	Geneva NY Daily Times - 7/11/1964 Announcement was made today of the marriage thursday in Geneva of Mrs. Hazel Conwicke of 53 Norwood Ave., and John R. Briggs of Buffalo. The couple was married yesterday morning in City Hall by Judge Josepeh G. Caito. Mr. and Ms. Lyman Dennis were attendants. A luncheon was given after- wards for the bridal party and immediate families at the Dennis home on White Springs Rd. The couple left on a trip to Ohio and points west and upon their return, will reside at Nor- wood Ave. Mrs. Conwicke is a sixth grade teacher at Prospect Ave. School. Mr. Briggs is retired.

  Geneva NY Finger Lake Times - 11/24/1978 GENEVA - John R. Briggs, 73, of 53 Norwood St., died yesterday at Geneva General Hospital. There will be no prior calling hours. A private service will be at the convenience of the family at the Gaul Funeral Home Inc., 263 East Ave., Lockport, NY. A private graveside service will be at Cold Spring Cemetery, Lockport. In lieu of flowers, memorial con tributlons may be made to Geneva General Hospital Development Fund. Mr. Briggs was born in Mapleton, son of Warren and Alice Brown Briggs. He was self employed. He was a veteran of World War I I . He was a charter member of the Iroquois Arms Collectors of Western New York. He was a life member of the National Muzzle-loading Rifle Association and a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Regional Pioneer Gas Engine Association. Surviving are his wife, Hazel C. Briggs; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Polly Spedding of Kashong; two stepsons, Kevin Conwick of Denver, Colo., and Joel Conwicke of San Diego, Calif. ; and seven grandchildren.
