The funeral of George S. Barber,
1108 Kossuth, who died in a local
hospital Saturday, Sept 21, 1940,
will be held at 11 tomorrow morning
from the home.
Mr. Barber was born in Utlca,
May 7, 1888, a son of Minnie-Rockwell
Barb errand the late George L.
Barber. He attended^local public
schools. In recent years he was
employed at the Utica incinerator
p l a n t.
His marriage to Carrie Elefante
took place Apr. 13, 1921, and she
survives him. He was a member
of Calvary Episcopal Church.
Mr. Barber served in the Navy
on the U3S Colorado, also in the
301st Engineers during the World
War and participated in the St
Mihiel drive.
Besides his mother and wife, he
leaves four daughters: Flora Mae,
Josephine Marie and Lillian, Utica,
and Ida. Schenectady; two sons,
Charles Louis and George F.; one
sister, Mrs. I. S. Benjamin; two
brothers, Harold and Walter, all of
Utica, and several nieces and
nephews.
