  Barbara A. Ryan The Tonawanda News NORTH TONAWANDA — Barbara (nee Barber) Ryan, age 80, of North Tonawanda, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late LaVergne and Margaret (nee Louchren) Barber and had been a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. Mrs. Ryan had been a teacher at St. Francis Parochial School in Tonawanda before retiring, and was an avid artist who was active with the painting group at Pendleton United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edwin J. Ryan, Jr.; four children, Edwin (Lynn) Ryan III, Colleen (David) Rousselle, Peggy (Joel) Gebhardt and Kevin (Terri) Ryan. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited.
