TOWN OF CAMBRIA —
Lester R. "Bob" Hall, of the Town of Cambria, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in Lockport, NY, on December 13, 1924, the son of the late Glen R. and Marion (Mudd) Hall. Mr. Hall was a bus driver for Ridge Road Express/Grand Tours, for over 50 years, before retiring in February of this year. He was a third generation farmer of the family farm, which was started by his grandfather. Mr. Hall enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing and watching the Lockport Bus Line Baseball Team.
He was the husband of the late Ruth M. (Everett) Hall. Mr. Hall is survived by one son, John C. (Maureen) Hamilton of Cataula, GA; two grandchildren, Michaela and Jonathan Hamilton; one sister, Norma (Eugene) Hoffman; and dear friend of Lillian Ackerman, Mark (Joyce) Ackerman, Glenn (Jan) Ackerman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hall was the brother of the late Richard Hall; and friend of the late Vicky Ackerman.
The family will be present on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 9-10 AM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, with the Rev. Matthew D. Kofahl officiating. Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, and Lockport, NY 14094. Interment at Cold Springs Cemetery, Lockport, NY.
