BARNWELL - Funeral services
for Edward L. Barnwell were
held Oct. 5, 1960 at 8:30 A.M.
from the Gaul Funeral Home Inc.
263 East Ave. and 9:00 A.M.
from St. Mary's Church. The Rev.
Albert G. Winter officiated. The
bearers were, Ralph Dershem,
Irving Merritt, Carl Confer. Richard
Mclntyre, David Strong, and
Maurice Riley. Interment was in
St. Mary's Cemetery.

Services for Edward L. Barnwell,
71, will be held Wednesday
morning at 8:30 at Gaul Funeral
Home, Inc., 283 East Ave., and at
9 at St. Mary's Church, the Rev.
Albert G. Winter officiating. The
Rosary will be recited tomorrow
eveing at 8 at the funeral home.
Mr. Barnwell, who had been in
poor health for the last few years,
died Saturday (Oct. 1, I960) of a
heart attack at his home. The Fire
Department First Aid Squad made
an unsuccessful attempt to revive
him.
An inspector at Harrison Radiator
Division, General Motors
Corp., Mr. Barnwell retired
12 years ago. He was a member
of Lockport Aeire 825, Fraternal
Order of Eagles, and the Holy
Name Society of St. Mary's
Church.
Mr. Barnwell was born in Wyalusing.
Pa., Jan. 8, 1889, the son
of the late John W. and Susan
Sheedy Barnwell. He moved to
Lockport in 1921 and bagan working
at Harrison a short time
later.
He is survived by his wife, the
former May Haering; two brothers,
John Barnwell of Lockport
and Norman Barnwell of Wilkesbarre.
Pa.; two sisters, Mrs.
Catherine McCarthy of Waverly
and Mrs. Gerald Hope of Mehoopany.
Pa., and several nieces and
nephews.
