George A. Barone, 58, of
311 Spruce Ave. died Tuesday
(Nov. 24, 1964) at Mount
St. Mary's Hospital after a
long illness.
He was b o r n in Niagara
Falls and was retired in 1963
after. 41 years at the Kiroberly-
Clark Corp. At the' time of
his retirement he was a shift
foreman.
He was a member of the
Knights of Columbus, Council
No. 246, and the Niagara Assembly,
Fourth Degree, of the
K of C. He held the office of
inner sentinel in the Niagara
Assembly since 1959. .
Mr. Barone received-the Father
Mead Award in 1963,
whleh is presented by the Ni-.
agara Assembly. He was made
the knight of the month in
March,. i964.
He also was a member of
the Woodipeckers' Club and
the St Mary's Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife,
Mrs. G r a c e E. Barone; one
son, Louis G. Barone; two
daughters, Mrs. Phylis Summers,
all of this city; Mrs.
Lawrence (Louise) H a r l a n,
Reno, Nev.; six brothers,
Charles, Joseph, James, Thomas,
Samuel and Cosmo Barone
and one sister, Mrs. Louis
(Florence) Penders, all from
this city and nine grandchildren.
Funeral . services will be
held at the Rhoney Funeral
Home Saturday and "at St.
Mary's of the Cataract Church
at time to be announced.
The family said that contributions
to the Roswell Park
Memorial Institute are acceptable
as tributes.
Members of the Knights of
Columbus, Council No. 247
and the Niagara Assembly,
Fourth Degree, wiH recite the
rosary at 8 p.m. Friday.
Friends may call from 2-5
p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday
and Friday.
