  April 1, 2014 Richard L. Barrell Lockport Union-Sun & Journal NEWFANE - Richard L. Barrell of Newfane, husband of the late Joan Chenez Barrell, entered into rest on Monday, March 31, 2014 at Newfane Rehab and Health Care Facility. Richard was born in Lockport, NY on August 5, 1932. Son of the late Rollin and Dorothy Weaver Barrell. Richard worked at Harrison Radiator for 37 years as a tooling engineering, he retired in 1991. He enjoyed his Lionel Trains and puttering. Father of Kevin (Randi) Barrell of Hilton, NY and David Barrell of Galeton, Colorado. Grandfather of Erin (Jeremy) Bishop and Megan Barrell. Brother-in-law of Jean C. Sullivan of Newfane, NY, Ray (Betty Mae) Chenez of Florida and Madeline Chenez of Barker, NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY 14108 on FRIDAY from 4-7 PM, where funeral services will be held on SATURDAY at 1 PM. Burial will be held in Corwin Cemetery following the funeral service. The family is at peace knowing he has taken his journey to be with his beloved wife.
