Wallace (Barney) Barrlnger.
76. Of Mill Street -a re-
tired Revere Copper and'
Brass employee, died at
his home on Tuesday
evening, November 1,
1994.
He was born in Ava on
July 31. 1918, a son of
Seymour Wallace and Etta.
Tuttle Barrlnger. He grew,
up in the Town of Ava. and
attended Rural School at
Flinttown, and then attended
West Leyden High
School. After that he operated
*the Barrlnger
homestead farm on the
Flinttown Road in .the
Town of Ava for many
years. In 1962, the couple
sold the farm and moved
to Stittvtlle. From 1955
until he retired In 1982, Mr.
Barrlnger was employed
In the large tube mill at
Revere Copper and Brass.
In Rome.
Wallace-was united In
marriage with Marion L.
Fox on August 8. 1941, at
Ava Hilltop Methodist
Church. Mrs. Barrlnger
died on December 25.
1993,-
He was a member of the
StittviUe United Methodist
Church and a lifetime
member of the Stittville
Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment.
Surviving are three
sons. Harland H..
Barrlnger.. Ava, Garry W.,
Barrlnger. Hinckley, and
Robert G. Barrlnger.
Vienna, Va: three daughters,
Mrs. Ned (Joyce)-.
Joseph, Clark Mills. Gall
Marrotta. Stittville. and
June Barrlnger, Norwalk.
California: 10 grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren:
three sisters.
Mrs. Herbert (Gladys)
Rlngwald. Ava, Mrs.
Thelma Gleasman. Clinton,
and Mrs. Harry
(Eleanor) Hartson, Ava,
and by -a special friend,;
Tracy Rider.. He was prede-
ceased by a sister, Ethel
Spinelli in 1968.
Funeral services were
held on Saturday, November
5. 1994. at 10 a.m. at
the Trainor Funeral-Home.-
Boonville, with The Rev.
Robert Wollaber. pastor of
the Ava Hilltop United
Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment was In
Ava Cemetery. Calling
hours were Friday, from 2
to 4 and 7-to9 p.m.
