Thomas M. Barron, 51, of 6000
Godfrey Road, Burt, a former
director and zone vice president
of the National Management
Association, died unexpectedly
Friday evening (Oct. 2, 1964).
He was stricken with a heart
attack at his home.
A past president of the Lockport
G-9 Management Club, he
was a general foreman at the
Washburn Street Plant of Harrison
Radiator Division, General
Motors Corp. He had worked
there 32 years.
He served from 1960 to 1962
as vice president of Zone F of
the NMA, which takes in New
York, Massachusetts, New Jersey
and part of Pennsylvania.
He was also a director of the
65,000 - member national organization.
He was a member of the
Newfane Industrial Club, chairman
of Explorer Scout Post 24,
Olcntt, and a member of t h e
Elks Club of Lockport, the exempt
firemen's organizations of
the Miller Hose Co. at Newfane
and the Olcott Fire Co., and
Concordia Lutheran Church.
He was born Jan. 28, 1913 in
Jamestown, a son of Mrs. Ida
Barron and the late Thomas G.
Barron.
Surviving in addition to his
mother who now lives in Lockport,
are his widow, Mrs. Ruth
Lampe Barron; one son, David
Barron with the Air Force in
California; one daughter, Mrs.
Philip O'Rourke of Olcott; one
granddaughter; four brothers,
John Barron of California,
Woodrow, Albert and Robert
Barron, all of Lockport; and
four sisters, Mrs. Viola Wolfe of
Kendall, Mrs. Marjorie Oates of
Alabama, and Mrs. John Langendorfer
and Mrs. Alice Shank,
both of Lockport.
Beginning tomorrow friends
may call at the Kenneth H.
Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139
East Ave., Newfane, where the
family will be present from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service
will be held there at 2 p.m.
Tuesday. Burial will be in North
Ridge Lutheran Cemetery, Cambria
