Mrs. Augusta S. Siegler, 88, a
former resident of Grace Avenue,
Newfane, died this morning
(March 28, 1963) in Buffalo after
a year's illness.
She and her husband, William
F. Siegler, were residents of the
Lutheran Church Home for the
Aged on East Delevan Avenue in
Buffalo for the past six years.
Mrs. Siegler was born Nov. 11,
1874 in the Town of Newstead,
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Carl Bars. She was a life member
of the Newfane Grange and
a member of the First English
Lutheran Church in Lockport.
Surviving, besides her husband,
are two daughters, Mrs. John Maschino
of Wright's Corners and
Mrs. Steven Gavalas of Orlando,
Fla.; two sons, Howard E. Siegler
and Willard H. Siegler, both
of North Tonawanda; a sister,
Mrs. Anna Cable of Lockport;
three grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren
and several nieces
and nephews.
Beginning Friday, friends may
call at the Lange Funeral Home,
186 East Avenue, where the family
will be present from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be
held there Sunday at 2 p.m. with
the Rev. Robert E. Heffner, pastor
of the First English Lutheran
Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery.
