Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L.
Barto, 10th Street, were
granted the Apostolic Blessing
of Pope John XXIII on
the occasion of their 50th
wedding anniversary June
4. They renewed their
marriage vows at a Mass of
Thanksgiving celebrated at
St. Joseph's Church, where
they were married 50 years
ago.
Family and relatives honored
the Jubllarians at a
dinner and reception which
followed the Mass.
Mr. and Mrs. Barto are
the parents of seven children:
Peter J. Barto, Westwood
Drive; Mrs. Ann Aversa,
17th Street; Mrs. Jane
Cardamone, Pine Avenue;
Mrs. Florence Quaglia, Elmwood
Avenue; Joseph A.
Barto Jr., 77th Street; Mrs.
Rita Del Zoppo, Woodlawn
Avenue, and Mrs. Dolores
Tweed, Cayuga Drive. They
have 28 grandchildren.
