- Theodore ‘Ted’ R. Casamento, 89, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away at his residence on June 17, 2021. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Russell P. and Rose (LaBarbera) Casamento.
Ted was a lifelong Niagara Falls resident, graduating from Niagara Falls High School. He graduated from the University of Buffalo with a Degree in Pharmacy Studies. On February 29, 1964, he married Mary Ann (Bartos) Casamento.
Ted was employed for many years as a pharmacist, with Crest Pharmacy, Singer’s Pharmacy, and most recently, Rite-Aid, where in addition to his work as a pharmacist, he trained Pharmacy Technicians across Western New York. He was awarded for accurately filling the most scripts in one day, an accomplishment he took pride in. Ted was a member of the Town of Niagara Lions Club and the Pharmacy Association.
Ted played basketball in his younger years, both at the Boy’s Club and Niagara Falls High School. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing. Ted looked forward to his Wednesday morning coffee with his friends in Niagara Falls and Lewiston. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandkids games.
In addition to his wife of 57 years, Ted is survived by his children, Rosemary (Jim) Kerins, Gary (Claudia) Casamento, T.R. (Tabitha) Casamento, and Ann Marie Mang; his grandchildren, Evan (Kaitlyn) Casamento, Lilly Casamento, Lauren Casamento, Sara Mang, Kayla Mang, Sean Casamento, Alicia Casamento, Amanda Casamento and Jennifer Kerins; several great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother-in-law of Kenneth (Linda) Bartos and Henrietta (John) Ingham.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 21 from 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304. Theodore’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara St, Niagara Falls, NY 14303. Entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
