Bartholomew A. Bassi Jr., 46,
of 433 Northbrook Drive died
yesterday in Faxton Hospital.
He was born in Utica, son of
Mrs. Angeline Pecorello Bassi
and the late Bartholomew Basi.
He was educated in local
schools.
He married Juanita Allen 24
years ago. He had been employed
by the postal service 20
years.
Mr. Basi was secretary of
Branch 375. National
^Association of Letter Carriers,
for 15 years, a member of the
American Postal Workers
Union Local 1820, and a
member of the U.S. Post Office
Columbian League Association.
He was owner and operator of
the Town Line Liquor Store.
He served in the Naw in
World War II. He attended St.
Mark's Church.
Besides his wife and mother,
he leaves three sons. Malcolm
Anthony, RoccoSaverio. both at
home, and Joseph, of Utica, and
a daughter, Mrs. Josephine
(Phyllis) DeSarro, Utica.
The funeral will be Thursday
at a time to be announced from
the Scala Funeral Home and St.
Mark's Church. Burial will be in
Cavalry Cemetery.
Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight
and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 9 from
the Scala Funeral Home, and at
9:30 from St. Mark's Church
