Snydney F. J. Hampton, 61,
of 2219 Michigan Ave., died
Wednesday (Feb. 23, 1972) in
Mount St. Mary's Hospital
after a long illness.
Born in Toronto, he lived in
this city for 26 years, employed
as a shift foreman at the
former Vanadium Corp. where
he worked for 15 years. He was
later employed with the
Pinkerton-Burns Detective
agency.
A veteran of the Canadian
Army, he served in World War
II with the governor-general's
horse guard.
He is survived by his widow
Adeline Hampton; a daughter
Bonnie Hampton of this city; a
sister, Mrs. Alfred (Mary)
Leonard of Kapuskasing, Ont.,
and two stepbrothers, Douglas
and George Stewart, both of
British Columbia.
Funeral services will be held
at the Otto Redanz Funeral
Home Sunday at 2 p.m., with
the Rev. J. David Mumford.
pastor of Zion Lutheran
Church, officiating. Burial will
be in Riverdale Cemetery.
Friends may call at the
funeral home Friday from 7 to
9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m.
