Mrs Mary Bates, 86, widow of
William Bates, died early Sunday
In the City Hospital of Internal injuries
sustained when she fell from
the back porch of her home, 160
Genesee street, two weeks ago.
Mrs. Bates was born in the town
of Royaiton, but had lived here
many years. She was a member
of the First Presbyterian church.
Surviving are a daughter and son,
Mrs. George Jones of Rochester
and Burt Butler of Middleport, Funeral
services were held at 4 o'clock
this afternoon at the Prudden Funeral
home, 343 Genesee street. Burial
was in Cold Spring cemetery
