- Lillian (Bator) Bryk, 93 years old, passed away on June 12, 2017 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was born in Niagara Falls on July 24, 1923, the daughter of the late Ignatius and Victoria (Wiegel) Bator.
Mrs. Bryk was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, working in her rose gardens and was well known for her baking, especially her apple and cherry pies. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years at Certo Brothers Distributing Co. and retired in 1981.
Mrs. Bryk was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Bryk, who passed away on August 26, 2005. She is survived by her son, Henry (Ingrid) Bryk of Youngstown; her daughter, Sandra (Stephen) Feketic of Niagara Falls; her sister, Natalie Certo of Niagara Falls; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Charlotte Strassburg.
Mrs. Bryk's family wish to thank the staff at Our Lady of Peace for the care and compassion extended to their mother.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, corner of Niagara and 24th Streets with Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends wishing to make a memorial donation in Mrs. Bryk's honor are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Association, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Buffalo, NY 14221.
