- North Tonawanda NY Evening News
Stricken with heart failure while
attempting to put chains on the
rear wheels of his automobileat
the Upper Mountain road, 4
miles east of Pekin, N. Y., James
P. Misner, 42 years old, 223 Chris-
tiana street, was found dead short-
ly before 7 o'clock this morning.
Coroner Frank T. Carmer of Newfane
fane was called and issued a certif-
icate of death from heart dis-
ease.
Strained Himself
Misner left home last evening to
collect some bills on automobiles
sold by him, as agent for a well
known make of automobiles. From
the conditions found by Coroner
Carmer he expressed the opinion
that Misner was perhaps straining
himself to get the chains adjusted
when he was stricken. The label
was found on a piece of cardboard
which Misner had placed on the
pavement to protect him from the snow.
The ignition of the car was turn-
ed on and the gasoline gone in
the tank. Coroner Carmer said
that death could not have been
caused by carbon monoxide pois-
ing because of the fact that the man
was in the open.

Mr. Misner was a well known
resident of the Tonawandas, having
lived here all his life. He had
been agent for the Dodge auto-
bile in this territory for the last

860, B.P.O.E.

M.; a daughter, Dorothy Jane; a
