  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 4/25/1963 BATT - Mrs. Mary E. Batt, 79, of 206 Traverse Blvd., Kenmore, N.Y., died Wednesday (April 24, 1963) at E. J. Meyer Memorial Hospital, Buffalo, after a brief illness. Born in Buffalo, Mrs. Batt resided in North Tonawanda for the greatest part of her life before moving to Kenmore nine years ago. She was a member of the Ladies of Charity of Ascension Church and the auxiliary of Tonawandas Post 264, American Legion. Her husband, Eugene A. Batt, died in February, 1944. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Kocsis of Kenmore, with whom she resided; two sons, Eugene E. Batt of Buffalo and Robert F. Batt of Tonawanda; seven grandchildren; a great - grandchild, and two sisters, Mrs. Rose Cox of North Tonawanda and Mrs. Harriet Connolly of Buffalo. The family will be present 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Hamp Funeral Home Inc., Adam - Seymour Streets, Tonawanda, where prayers will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday, followed by a Requiem High Mass in Ascension Church at 9:30. The Rev. Francis J. Hunt will officiate. Burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
