The marriage of Miss Dinah E.
Franjoine to Mr. Gerald D. Batterson
took place in the rectory of Our
Lady of Mt. Carmel church with the
Rev. Edward J. Ayers officiating at
the double ring ceremony. Miss
Franjoine is the daughter of Mrs.
Rose Franjoine, Thirtieth street, and
the late Mr. Fred Franjoine. Mr.
Batterson is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Albert C. Batterson, this city.
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her brother, Mr. Fred Fran-
joine , chose a gown of imported
French lace and white satin with a
Handing mandarin collar. The iridescent
sequin-trimmed and fitted
bodice had a rouching of matching
lace accenting the shoulder line. The
Jace sleeves were tapered to a point at
the wrists. The skirt of the gown was
fully gathered with inserts of lace
and the full circular train was edged
with the same matching lace. A
queen's crown of pearls and 'hineitones
held her long scalloped veil.
Miss Felicia Franjoine, cousin of
the bride, who was the maid of
honor, wore a yellow gown with a
lace bodice and fully gathered satin
skirt. She wore matching lace gauntlets
and satin and net bonnet. She
carried a colonial bouquet of blue
pom-pons centered with yellow roses.
Miss Sara Franjoine, sister of the
bride, and Miss Elaine Beresny were
the bridal attendants. They wore blue
gowns similar to that of the maid
of honor. They carried colonial bouquets
of mixed yellow roses and blue
pompons.
Mr. Roy Batterson was the best
man for his brother. The ushers were
Mr. Albert C. Batterson, Jr., brother
of the bridegroom and Mr. Harry
Britton.
