- Linus J. Faery entered into rest June 25, 2019 at Eastern Niagara Hospital.
Husband of Kathleen A. Marshall Faery; father of Juliann (Joseph) Farone of Middleport, Regina (Robert) McDonough of Florida, and Linus J. Faery, Jr. (Leslie Gartz) of Lockport; grandfather of Kristin (Michael), Siobhan, Patrick and Kathleen; great-grandfather of Kristopher; son of the late Stanley and Genevieve (Baudendistle) Faery; brother of Anita (Brian) Botens and Mary (Mark) Dennis. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Linus and Kathy were married June 13th, 1964 and celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this year.
Linus graduated from DeSales Catholic High School in 1962, where he received awards for baseball and football including All American in Football.
A man of many hobbies, including piloting airplanes, racing stock, modified and super modified cars, Linus also built and flew model airplanes.
He served as a fireman and paramedic for the city of Lockport Fire Dept. for 13 years and received an award for Fireman of the Year.
Linus was the owner of L. J. Faery Construction and with his wife, Kathy, also owned and operated L. J. Faery Kitchen & Bath. After retirement, they moved to Boynton Beach, Florida, and returned home to Lockport after 16 years.
Linus always had a smile and a joke.
Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Provenzano Memorial Chapel, 70 Niagara St. at Transit, Lockport. (Same location as Taylor & Reynolds Funeral Home).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Parish, 76 Church Street, Lockport on Tuesday at 12:00 PM.
