ENGAGED TO CADET-Miss
M. Jean Clark, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Leslie W: Clark, of 3451
Weston avenue, whose engagement
was announced recently,
to Air Cadet Frederick P. Blessing;
son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Blessing,
of Eighty-second street.
Cadet Blessing Is completing his
pilot's training at Williams Field,
Chander, Arizona. Miss Clark will
be an October bride.

In a setting of pompons,, ferns
and soft candlelight. Miss .Marion
Jean Clark, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Leslie W. Clark, of 2451 Weston
avenue, became the bride of
Lieutenant Frederick P. Blessing,
U. S. Army Air Force, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Blessing, or 402
Eighty-second street, in St. Peter's
Episcopal church, Saturday evening,
December 18. The Rev. Blake B.
Hammond, assisted by the Rev. Arthur
Schmoyer, performed the
double ring ceremony.
Mr. Brouder sang "I Love Thee,"
"Calm Is the Night*' and "The
Lord's Prayer," accompanied by
Mrs. Helen Neff, who also played
the traditional wedding music.
The bride,, given in marriage by
her father, was lovely In her gown
of white satin fashioned with Alencon
lace yoke, long pointed sleeves,
deep Alencon lace insert in the
front of the full skirt and a long
train. Her fingertip illusion veil fell
from a Juliet'cap of Alencon lace
and she carried a prayer book centered
with a white orchid.
Mrs. Charles J. Barber, her sister's
matron of honor, wore a gown
made with Dubonnet velvet bodice
and matching full net-skirt. She
wore Dubonnet ostrich tips and
shoulder-length veil and carried a
colonial bouquet of yellow roses and
Dubonnet pompons.
Miss Delores Midler, of Kenmore,
N. Y., the bridegroom's cousin, and
Miss Betty Rohe were the bridesmaids.
Their gowns were made with
royal blue velvet bodices and full
pale blue net skirts. They wore royal
blue ostrich tips with pale blue
shoulder-length veils and carried
colonial bouquets of pink roses and
white pompons.
Miss Suzanne Blessing, sister of
the bridegroom, was Junior bridesmaid
and wore a gown made with
Dubonnet velvet bodice and full-pink
net skirt trimmed with bows of
Dubonnet velvet. She wore a pink
net halo bonnet and carried a tiny
colonial bouquet of white pompons
centered with a pink rose.
The best man was Mr. Jack Spinner,
cousin of the bridegroom.
The ushers, all uncles of the
bridegroom, were Mr. Carl Blessing,
Mr. Martin Miller, Kenmore, N. Y,
and Mr. Fred Spinner.
The bride's mother wore an acqua
crepe dress with *lack accessories
and a corsage of red roses.
The bridegroom's mother wore a
black velvet dress with chartreuse
accessories and a corsage of yellow
roses.
Mrs. Cora Baum, the bridegroom's
grandmother, wore a royal blue Velvet
dress with black accessories arid
a gardenia corsage.
A reception for more than 100
guests was held at the bride's home.
The bride chose a pale blue wool
Jersey dress with black chesterfield
and black accessories for traveling.
She wore a white orchid corsage.
Lieutenant and Mrs. Blessing are
at home at 2124 Smith street, Lincoln,
Nebraska, where he is stationed!.
