- Olive A. ‘Ollie’ (Bax) Lorenti, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Lena (DiSalvo) Bax.
Ollie was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On September 18, 1946 she married Emil Lorenti in Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by him on July 26, 1995. Ollie was a waitress at the former Wilmar Coffee Shop in Niagara Falls where she was affectionately known as the best motherly waitress in town. Ollie was a real people person who got along with everyone she met. She was also an excellent pie maker and especially loved children and animals but most of all Ollie was devoted to her family.
Ollie is survived by her son Michael R. (Rose) Lorenti of Lewiston, NY; three grandchildren Michael Lorenti, Jr., Theresa Lorenti and Nicole (Roman Amezcua) Lorenti; one great grandson Elijah Richards and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters, Daniel (late Mary) Bax, Joseph (late Marion) Bax, Alphonse ‘Butch’ (Esther of Las Vegas, NV) Bax, Samuel ‘Chico’ (Naomi of Niagara Falls, NY) Bax, Lucy (late Joseph) Salacuse, Betty (late Edward) Belson and Celia (late Matthew) Kramarz.
