Jacques B. (Jake) Bazinet,
91, formerly of 143
Winthrop St., died at 4:15
p.m. Friday in the Madonna
Home where he had
resided since January.
The funeral will be Monday
at 10:30 a.m. at the
Cummings Funeral Home
and at 11 a.m. at Holy
Family Church, with Msgr.
Robert J. McCarthy, pastor,
officiating. Burial will
be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Calling hours are Sunday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
at the funeral home. Donations
may be made in his
name to the American Cancer
Society.
He is survived by a
daughter, Mrs. Robert H.
(Elinore B.) Grannis, 313
Brainard St.; three granddaughters,
Mrs. Gordon
(Julia) Zeno, 131 Maywood
Ter., Mrs. Carl (Joanne)
DelSanto, 703 Cadwell Stand
Mrs. Les (Mary)
Tynan, Ogdensburg; two
grandsons, Larry Dudley,
Coffeen Street, and Daniel
Grannis, Syracuse; four
grandchildren, nieces and
nephews.
Another daughter, Mrs.
Walter J. (Margaret Philomena)
Dudley, died March
19, 1972; in Watertown.
Born at Clayton Dept. 3,
1835, a son of John and Philoraena
Bertrand Bazinet,
he attended Clayton schools
and for a time attended
Queens University, Kingston,
Ont.
He married Lena McKinley
of Watertown May 12,
1908. at St. Mary^s Church,
Clayton. She died in 1924.
° He had been employed at
the Hungerford-Holbrook
Co., and was employed
many years by the Uniform
Printing and Supply Co., of
Chicago and New York
City, retiring in 1943.
Mr. Bazinet returned to
Watertown 10 years ago
and had resided with his
daughter, Mrs. Grannis.
He had resided several
years at Williamstown and
has spent much time at
Latchford Bridge, Ont.,
where he was a lay brother
with the Carmelite Order.
