WILSON-Funeral services
will be held Thursday for
Joseph J. Banas, 47, who was
killed Monday
(June 5, 1961)
in an accident
on his farm in I
Cambria - Wilson
Road.
Mr. B a n as
died when a
tractor he was
operating flip-
ped over and
crushed him.
Born in Ni-
agara F a l l s ,
he a t t e n d e d
schools th e r e BANAS
and was employed at Sears
Roebuck Co. and Bell Aircraft
Corp. before moving to the
farm nine years ago.
Mr. Banas was a past president
of the Holy Name Society
of Our Lady of the Rosary
Church here, and was a third
degree member of the Knights
of Columbus, Niagara Council
No. 247.
Members of the council will
recite the Rosary at 8 p.m.
Wednesday at the Zajac Funeral
Home, Niagara Falls.
Surviving Mr. Banas are his
mother, Mrs. Mary Banas, Niagara
Falls; two Sisters, Mrs.
Stanley (Jennie) Beczkowski,
Wilson, and Mrs. Adolph (Emily)
Latko, Lewiston; and a
brother. Chester Banas, Niagara
Falls.
Prayers will be said at 9:30
a.m. Thursday at the funeral
home with a Requiem Mass
at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity
Church, Niagara Falls. Burial
will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
