NIAGARA FALLS —
Charlene E. (Rolfe) Hartman, 61, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 20, 1950 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Frances (Gresart) Rolfe of Lockport, NY and the late Charles Rolfe.
Charlene was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School in 1969. On November 24, 1973, Charlene married Donald W. Hartman in Niagara Falls, NY. She was a homemaker and cared for her children, whether they were hers or not. Charlene was very strong-willed and did the best she could with what she had. She was a mom to many and will be greatly missed, but remember this isn't goodbye, but see you later. Charlene is in our hearts. Always cherish and hold dear to the memories you have. Remember don't take for granted what life gives you. We will love and miss her, for now, with memories forever cherished. She enjoyed listening to music and crocheting many blankets.
In addition to her mother and husband, Charlene is survived by one daughter, Toni (John) Hahn of Lockport, NY; one son, Damon Hartman of Niagara Falls, NY; and one grandson, Ethan Hahn. She is also survived by nine siblings, Michael (Wendy) Rolfe of Niagara Falls, NY, Paul (Krissia) Rolfe of Ransomville, NY, Charles Rolfe of Niagara Falls, NY, Donald Rolfe of Lockport, NY, David Rolfe of Lockport, NY, Frank Rolfe of Niagara Falls, NY, Sharon Rolfe of Nevada, Monia Earl of Texas and Rhonda Keener of Lockport, NY; her mother-in-law, Ruth Hartman; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel (June) Hartman, Dona Hartman, Deborah (Paul) Smith and Denise (Michael) Bergy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her father-in-law, Donald B. Hartman.
There will be no prior visitation. A private funeral service was held. Interment in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements were entrusted to the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007).
