- Robert H. Fiedler, "Fid" passed away on August 27, 2024. Born December 30, 1947 in Lockport, he was the son of Howard and Marjorie (Murphy) Fiedler. Robert graduated from Royalton-Hartland High School in 1966 and earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He worked for 26 years at Fisher-Price Toys in Medina where he was a forklift operator. He also drove school bus for Ridge Road Express and was a counselor at Wyndham Lawn Home. Robert was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, watching the Buffalo Bills, and his New York Yankees which he loved to hate at times! He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling to Oneida Lake, the Thousand Islands, and Myrtle Beach where many fond memories were made.
Known by "Fid" to most and "Fred" to some, he had an infectious laugh which without a doubt told you he was not far away.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Beth (Behnke) Fiedler; daughters Jill (Michael) McCabe, and Stacey (Isiah) Johnson; grandchildren Brendon (Ellie Todd, fiancée) Hess, Rileigh McCabe, and Ashlynn Johnson; Aunt Ruth and Aunt Vera; in-laws Sandy and Tom Thompson, Jim and Peg Behnke; and also several cousins, nieces, and nephews. With SO many close friends to mention, he cherished them ALL!!! In addition to his parents, Robert was also predeceased by his sister, Kathy (Thomas) Robinson, and nephew, Shawn Robinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
