The marriage of Miss Ruth Mary Behrns, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Behrns of 137 Jackson avenue, to
George A. Niemiec, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Niemiec,
Sr., of 83 Stenzel street, was solemnized on Saturday
A u g u s t 30, at 4 p.m. in the Third Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. William H. Saye officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Palms and white gladioli provided an attractive
background for the service.

Miss Shirley Graves sang "Because" and the "Lord's
Prayer", accompanied by Mrs. Elmer Goeble who also played
the traditional wedding marches.
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride was lovely in a white
marquisette gown with a round
neckline, long sleeves tapering at
the wrists. The gown was styled
in pinafore fashion with ruffles
extending to the hem of the floor-length
skirt and court-length train.
She wore her sister's lace-trimmed
veil, caught with a crown of
white beads. Her arm bouquet of
white gladioli was centered with
a gardenia and pink rose corsage
and she wore a single strand of
pearls, the gift of the bridegroom.
Mrs. Edward Niethe, sister of
the bride and matron of honor,
was goned in pink marquisette,
with ruffled round yoke-effect
neckline, short puffed sleeves and
full skirt. She carried an arm
bouquet of deep wine colored gladiola
and pink roses.
Miss Charlotte Behrns was her
sister's bridesmaid wearing a gown
of powder blue marquisette with
three quarter length sleeves and
floor length skirt. Her bouquet
was of yellow gladioli and roses.
Thaddeus Niemiec attended his
brother as best man. Raymond
Niemiec, also a brother, andMelvin
Niemiec were ushers.
The mother of the bride chose
a black and white flowered jersey
street length dress with white accessories
and wore a corsage of
mixed flowers. The bridegroom's
mother wore a black sheer dress
with matching accessories and a
corsage of mixed flowers.
Both grandmothers of the bridegroom
were present. Mrs. Mary
Niemiec was attired in gray crepe
with black accessories and Mrs.
Mary Winiewski wore pink and
black print crepe with black ac-
cessories. Both wore corsages of
mixed flowers.
Following the ceremony a wed-
ding dinner was served at 6 p.m.
in Waldeck's restaurant to 26
guests, and in the evening a re-
ception was held in American Le-
gion hall with 300 guests attend-
ing. Buffet refreshments were
served from a long table centered
with a four tier wedding cake.
In front of the cake were eight-
inch bride and groom dolls of un-
usual dress and workmanship.
Guests were present from Detroit,
Baltimore, Buffalo, Niagara Falls
and Lockport and the tonawan-
das.
After a motor trip to Rochester
and Sea Breeze, Mr. and Mrs.
Niemiec are at home in 21 Felton
street.
