ALTOONA, FL — Marvin C. Bedford, 81, of Altoona, FL, passed away on May 27, 2013, at his home.
Marvin was born in Lockport, NY, lived in Gasport, NY, Posen, MI, Dansville, NY and Altoona, FL, and served in the Marines earning a Purple Heart. He worked in maintenance at various places, among them the Union Sun & Journal and Dansville Central School. A devoted Catholic, he attended St. John's, St. Mary's, Lockport, and St. Mary's, Gasport.
He is survived by Mary (Beiter) Bedford, his wife of almost 60 years; daughters, Norma J. (Robert) Carlini, Mary Ann Owens (Terry), Barbara (Mark) Little and son, Tim (Kathy) Bedford; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob (Margaret) Bedford, Dave (Evelyn) Bedford of Florida; sisters, BettyJoyce (Bernie) Bloom, Sharon (Don) Tombarri; loving nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin J. and Alicia Bedford and sister, Mary Alicia (George) LaMountain.
