Patricia E. "Pat" Wegerski
June 29, 2022
The eldest of ten, Patricia E. “Pat” (nee Patterson) (late Melvin) Wegerski, came into this world on July 11,1928 to the parents of Eleanor (Chew) and Percy Patterson, Sr. on the Tuscarora Nation to the Tuscarora Beaver Clan. She lived the fullest of lives with the most positive outlook in all aspects of her nearly 94 years on this Earth. Surrounded by loving family and friends during her transition to the next step of her journey, Pat passed on June 29, 2022.
To know Pat, you would know that she was funny, kind, loving and the most social of butterflies. Always adventurous, Pat was ready to go with friends and family on road trips, lunches, bingo, casino or just a visit on a porch. It was no surprise to see her come home in one car only to jump into another, heading to her next adventure. Humor and laughter were paramount in her daily life, and her illimitable generosity and thoughtfulness was felt by all. She was known for her ever-ready smile to family and friends which led to many future friends. Some of Pat’s other interests included sewing, beading and cooking while tending to her family.
Pat is survived by her daughters Patti (Elden) Fischer and Sandi (Dennis) Swanson-Isaacs, twenty grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also, siblings, Sarah (Tom) Kennedy, Kathleen Wheatley, Prisciela Williams, and Pete (late Deanna) Patterson and Great-Aunties Norma (Simon) Brascoupe and Ida Sealoff and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Vaughn Skye, Jeffery Skye, Milton “Cow” Jacobs, Gregory Jacobs, Leonard “Eska” Jacobs, and Robert “Bob” Jacobs; siblings, Beatrice (late Ollie) Best, Myron “Monk” Patterson, Chief Stuart (Doris) Patterson, Clara (late Lawrence) Fish and Norman (late Clara) Patterson and two grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY on Friday, July 1, 2022 between the hours of 5:00 - 8:30 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday at the Tuscarora Baptist Church, 2088 Mt Hope Rd, Sanborn, NY with the Rev. Walter Printup, III officiating, followed by Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery.
