  July 12, 2014 Ira M. Poole Lockport Union-Sun & Journal NEWFANE - Ira M. Poole of Newfane, NY, husband of the late Eleanor Belschner Poole, entered into rest on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Care Facility. He was born in Wilson, NY on November 3, 1925, the son of the late Lawrence and Naomi Poole. He owned and operated Poole Farm and Trucking in Newfane, NY for many years. His wife, Eleanor, died on January 4, 2013. Ira moved to Newfane in 1950 and enjoyed bowling, camping and fishing. Father of Gerald (Bonnie) Poole of Newfane, NY, Ira Eugene (Marie) Poole of Newfane, NY and Barbara Herring of Wilson, NY. Brother of Beatrice (Hugh) Mackey of Arizona and James Poole of California. Also survived by ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY on TUESDAY from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Private graveside services will be held at North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY.
