BERGHOLZ — Colleen Ann Syruws, (Stange), age 61, of Bergholz, was called to her heavenly home on January 23, 2013, at her residence, under the care of her loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born in North Tonawanda, NY on March 12, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Ewald) Stange, Jr. Colleen was a 1969 graduate of Niagara Wheatfield High School and was previously employed as a clerk at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Wheatfield, and she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her devoted husband, William R. Syruws. They were united in marriage on August 24, 1974; two daughters, Lorrie (William) Weir and Lynn (Benjamin) Willis; two sisters, Nancy (Richard) Musall and Carol (Stanley) Woodcock; and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Peyton, Charles and Adelaide.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz), in Wheatfield on Friday from 4-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ronald D. Oravec on Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Falls Blvd. and Ward Road. Interment in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church or to Niagara Hospice.
