NORTH TONAWANDA — Jane (nee Wilson) Weir, age 82, of Tonawanda, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late William and Louise (nee Leutsch) Wilson and had been a resident of Tonawanda for more than 50 years. Mrs. Weir had been employed at the NYS Department of Labor in Tonawanda for more than 20 years before retiring, and then was an adult literacy volunteer. She was the wife of the late Robert Weir, who died in 2001; and sister of the late Edith Bennett.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert (Donna) Weir and Brian (Miriam Wynn) Weir; and a brother, Roy (Jane) Wilson. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 1-4 PM on Saturday only at the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 37 Adam Street at Seymour, Tonawanda, where funeral services will be held at 4 PM Saturday. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to the American Heart Association are preferred by the family.
