EAST PEMBROKE, April 14.-Mrs. Mary
E. Bennett died at her home yesterday at
1:80 p.m., of consumption of the blood,
aged 51 years. Mrs. Bennett, whose maiden
name was Barlow, was born In Batavia
in October, 1847, and came to this place
with her parents when she was 2 years
of age. On November 25, 1874, she was
married to Hiram L. Bennett, who survives
her. She is also survived by two daughters,
Mrs. William Blair of Batavia and
Miss Hattle M. Bennett of this village; her
aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Barlow,
Sr., and one brother, William Barlow,
Jr.
Mrs. Bennett was a woman of exemplary
character and endeared herself- to all who
knew her by her upright Christian life.
She had been a member of the Presbyterian
church for many years and leaves many
friendp, who sympathize with the bereaved
husband and daughters. The funeral will
be held from the house on Saturday at 2 p.
m., the Rev. Arthur T. Young officiating.
